Life after disasters — hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, wildfires — can feel like a nightmare. Families are displaced. Routine is interrupted. Nothing feels normal. And while the future is uncertain, one thing is not:
We are committed to helping people rebuild their lives after disaster strikes.
We work to make sure those affected have the everyday essentials they need, like clean clothes and personal care products, and to bring back a sense of normalcy in times of chaos.
68,000 loads of clean laundry to over 50,000 people
Ever since Hurricane Katrina, Tide’s Loads of Hope program has been providing clean clothing for families in the midst of chaos through its community outreach program.

More help is on the way
Bringing Laundromats to Homeless Shelters.
17 out of every 10,000 people in the US experiences homelessness on a single night. Many homeless shelters aren’t able to offer laundry facilities. Tide is partnering with homeless shelters in LA to provide them with washing machines and detergent and help give everyone access to clean clothes.

Cleaning Clothes to Keep Kids in School.
One in five students don’t have access to clean clothes, which makes them more likely to miss schools and less likely to graduate. Tide is partnering with Whirlpool to provide laundry detergent and washing machines to schools in low income neighborhoods to help kids look and feel their best.
