How to Remove Poop Stains

Whether your potty-training toddler has an accident on the way to the toilet or things go wrong during a diaper change, Tide can help get rid of poop stains and make life easier in a few simple steps.

    • Rinse & Pre-treat:

If possible, rinse the stain immediately with cold water. Gently rub dish soap onto the stain to help loosen it, then rinse with water. Repeat if necessary.
Remove excess before rinsing under running water
    • Dose:

Use the cap to ensure you use the right amount of Tide Ultra Stain Release Liquid detergent, and pour it into the detergent dispenser if you have an HE machine, or directly into the drum before loading the clothes if you have a non-HE machine.
Dose the right amount of detergent
    • Wash:

Wash according to the instructions on the garment’s care labels using an enzyme-based detergent.
    Wash on the usual cycle
    • Unload:

When the cycle is complete, unload the garments immediately.
    Unload
If the stain persists after washing, you can place the garment in the sun to help bleach out any remaining stains or soak the item in a solution with Tide Ultra Stain Release Liquid before laundering. This oxygen-based technology will banish stains while keeping colours bright.

Effective Stain Removal on a Variety of Stains

Babies and stains go hand in hand. The good news is, Tide can help out with the cleaning side of child care, whether it’s for poop stains or other baby-related messes, like urine, baby formula or baby food.

For whiter whites and tough stain removal, wash with Tide. Babies will make a mess- that’s just what babies do best- but for the cleanup, you’ve got Tide.
