How to Remove Rubber Cement Stains

A spot of DIY and you realize you’ve got rubber cement all over your clothes.
There is no need to worry, instead check out Tide’s tips on how to remove rubber cement stains.

On-the-Go Tip:

Carefully apply rubbing alcohol to the spot. Use paper towels to absorb the stain.

How to Remove Rubber Cement Stains in 5 Steps

Step 1

Pour and Pre-treat:

Pour Tide HE Turbo Clean Liquid directly onto the rubber cement stain. Make sure you completely cover it and let set for 5 minutes. Pour from either the bottle or the cap.

Step 2

Dose:

You can also use the cap to ensure you use the right amount of laundry detergent. Just fill it with the correct dose of Tide laundry detergent, and pour it into the laundry detergent dispenser if you have an HE washing machine, or directly into the drum before loading the clothes if you have anon-HE washing machine.

Step 3

Load:

Without rinsing off the laundry detergent, place the garment into the washer with other items. Leaving Tide laundry detergent on the stain will give your wash that extra boost of cleaning power.
