After a long run, you’re thirsty and in need of a quick energy fix, but somehow you spill your sports drink down your shirt. No worries, Tide has got you covered with these tips on how to get rid of sports drink stains.

    • Remove Excess:

Brush off any excess from the garment before rinsing under running water. The higher the water pressure, the easier it will be to remove.

    • Pour and Pre-treat:

Pour Tide HE Turbo Clean Liquid directly onto the sport drink stain. Make sure you completely cover it and let set for 5 minutes. Pour from either the bottle or the cap.

    • Dose:

You can also use the cap to ensure you use the right amount of laundry detergent. Just fill it with the correct dose of laundry detergent, and pour it into the detergent dispenser if you have an HE washer, or directly into the drum before loading the clothes if you have a non-HE washer.
Dose the right amount of detergent
    • Load:

Without rinsing off the laundry detergent, place the garment into the washer with other items. Leaving Tide laundry detergent on the stain will give your wash that extra boost of cleaning power.
Load the garment into the washer
    • Wash:

Wash on the usual cycle, on the hottest wash temperature indicated. Always check the instructions on the garment’s laundry symbols.

    • Unload:

When the cycle is complete, unload the garments immediately.

If the stain persists after washing, repeat the previous steps before tossing in the dryer, as drying will set the stain.

Effective Stain Removal on a Variety of Stains

Liquids have the annoying habit of dripping everywhere, and the next thing you know, you've just spilled your bottle of sports drink down your t-shirt. Luckily, Tide has you covered when it comes to stain removal, from sports drink stains to other liquid stains, like soft drinks.

Tide can help you with the cleaning by managing tough stain removal and making your whites whiter.
