Tide Power PODS Plus UItra Oxi White and Bright

I tested these out and found that they worked well on stains, regular ones at least and were able to get my toddler’s food stains out of his clothes. The only thing I thought was a bit much was that it smelled really strongly so I docked a star.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pods are so BIG, like I would take them out of the bag and they were half the size of my palm and just bursting full of liquid, so that’s a good size for value I think. It smelled super fresh and clean, I bet you could use just one for a large load and it work perfectly because of the size and power of one. I used 2 because I had a huge load that had a lot of dirt and smell, and it worked perfectly. My clothes were clean, smelled obviously clean and great, and were nice and soft (no residue feeling). the only thing I will see is that the child-prevention zip at the top is SO hard to open and close, especially the very first time. It took me forever and i just had to manually pull it apart. I know this is for safety but it was definitely a little difficult.

You might need to use warm water when using this product to avoid the sticky plastic mess from getting on your clothes. You also need to be careful with the physical package because one of the pods bursted in the bag leaving all the other pods sticky. Be sure to wash your hands after handling this product!

It smells great, cleans my clothes really well (even the bigger, more soiled loads) and the added power of OXI white is great, as it eliminates the need to use one extra product in my laundry. I also love the packaging and the ‘preportioned’ pod sizes, since I tend to overuse the liquid detergent in my HE machine. One of these little bad boys will clean even the largest, messiest loads. The bad that it comes in is also resealable with a child lock. Great product on all fronts!

I took a picture next to a regular Tide pod for comparison. My only complaint is that the packaging is hard to open and that the scent is a little strong.

I use these mainly on my husband's white tees, and I have definitely noticed a difference since using them. His shirts are much brighter and look whiter than ever, almost like when they were brand new. They are tough on stains and even got rid of the discoloring under the arms of the shirts by a lot. I like the convenience of the PODS as there is no more measuring or guessing how much detergent to use. Therefore, less waste. I don't know how this OXI power or Odor Eliminators work, but they do. Even the most soiled of clothing came out clean and fresh smelling. I just use one POD for small loads and two for larger or more soiled clothing as the instructions indicate. I like it when doing laundry is made easy. And my wife loves it when I do my own laundry, so win-win.⁩

It leaves my laundry smelling really good too. The only thing I had a problem with was the childproof ziplock. It was Kimproof🤣 I could not get that thing open for anything! I wound up cutting the pouch open and closing it with a chip clip. Good thing I don't have children around.

The cleaning ability of it was good. It got my work clothes very clean. I well have kinds of stuff and stains on my pants and a dark spot from my keys hanging from my belt, and it took all that out with ease. I used two pods because my work clothes need a good cleaning, but I probably could have used just one, so the price as far as loads wasn't that bad. I would say it about average with other products, but where it gains more points is the convenience of the pods. Just grab one and throw it in the washer. And I really like the packaging of it with Ziplock style zipper and the fact that there is still some packaging after tearing off the top is great. It kind of conceals the zipper and doesn't make it as easy to open, which I like because it isn't easy to fall out or for a child to get into the bag. Overall I would give it 4.5/5.

I have always been happy with Tide and feel like it has always worked quite well. I usually use Tide liquid detergent so was happy to try the new pods. While I feel like the pods did a great job getting my clothes clean I didn’t like how they don’t completely dissolve in the washer detergent tray. It left behind a big messy glob. Maybe if I just toss it into the load before I start it. The smell is ok, not overwhelming or any unit I prefer a less perfume smell and more of a fresh clean small. I will probably just continue to use the liquid detergent. Still happy I was able to try the pods.

I have used the brand Tide for a long time and I am no stranger to Tide Pods either. Regular ol’ Tide Pods have always worked well for me so I was intrigued to try these. They smell great, they worked great to clean my clothes, and they even removed a grease stain that my other laundry soap wasn’t removing. I was shocked to see how HUGE these Tide Pods are. They’re like regular tide pods on steroids. I definitely only needed one for a fairly large load of laundry. One thing I don’t love about the regular tide pods is that I find myself throwing in 2-3 into my washer and it feels wasteful. So, I appreciate only having to use one that way I know I am using the correct amount. I do feel like my whites looked brighter with these pods. I did 3-5 loads with these so far and all of my clothes have come out bright, white, and smelling and looking great. These did exactly what they were supposed to do and I’d highly recommend them!

It did do an amazing job cleaning my clothes though, I had some makeup stains on some white towels and after using the pods the stains are completely gone. Like everything smells absolutely amazing. I love how clean my clothes look. I’m not the dirtiest person, but every stain I knew about when I put it in the wash is gone when it comes out. What I hate is how hard this makes my clothes feel. I was never a fabric softener girlie, but if hard clothes bother you, you might need some fabric softener for this one.

I want my whole house to smell like this and it did I washed everything for three days straight. I washed all of the bedding in the house. I washed all of the clothes all of the towels anything that could be washed I washed it with these pods because they are that good. My clothes were brighter. They smelled better they were softer I will probably be making the switch from, the free and clear to these because I feel like they clean better. The child lock did break my four-year-old likes to do laundry with me and she’s in the stage of doing everything herself so I broke the seal and got it started for her, and when she was pulling the zipper back, it fell off of the track so the package that it came in is broken. I would suggest something that has a better child proof container

At first, I was worried you could only use these pods with whites, but felt relief when I read the packaging and realized that this not only makes your whites brighter but makes your colors pop. They work really well in our washer. It’s such a great value for what you’re getting. They are a bit on the pricey side but they do work really hard at removing stains and they are definitely a lot larger than your typical pod. The scent is very clean and linentype smell, no harsh, sensitivities or issues

I no longer get the detergent stains that I did with standard liquid detergents, and these pods are incredible at removing all sorts of stains. The scent is great! The scent is enjoyable the packaging is a zip lock easy to just slide open and close. My load of whites were horrible, I didn’t think they would get clean without using bleach. I wrong this detergent got out all my toughest stains even BLOOD!!!

They are a staple in my household because they smell great, the smell is lasting, and my clothes do not come out of the wash looking and smelling worn. I appreciate the addition of oxi because our whites were beginning to look off-white, but these brightened those right up. Our brights aren’t quite out yet since it is still chilly, but I’m sure they will look vibrant with a refresh wash for the warmer seasons.
