Beets might be good for you, but they dye everything they come into contact with, leaving your clothes with bright purple beet stains. No need to worry about how to get rid of beet stains when you’ve got some help from Tide.
On-the-Go Tip:
Wet a cloth with warm water and blot the stain. If available, use
Tide to Go Instant Stain Remover.
- Remove the excess residue from the stain.
- Press the tip of the Tide to Go Instant Stain Remover onto the stain several times to release some of the stain remover solution.
- Rub the tip gently across the stain to remove it. If necessary, add more liquid and continue to rub gently.
- Important: If the treated area is exposed to direct sunlight, then wipe with a damp cloth or a napkin to remove excess solution.
Remove Excess:
Brush off any excess from the garment before rinsing under cold, running water. The higher the water pressure, the easier it will be to remove.

Pour and Pre-treat:
Pour Tide HE Turbo Clean Liquid directly onto the beet stain. Make sure you completely cover it and let set for 5 minutes. Pour from either the bottle or the cap.

Dose:
You can use the cap to ensure you use the right amount of detergent. Just fill it with the correct dose of Tide laundry detergent, and pour it into the detergent dispenser if you have an HE machine, or directly into the drum before loading the clothes if you have a non-HE machine.

Load:
Without rinsing off the detergent, place the garment into the washer with other items. Leaving the detergent on the stain will give your wash that extra boost of cleaning power.

Wash:
Wash on a cold water cycle. Always check the instructions on the garment’s care label.

Unload:
When the cycle is complete, unload the garments immediately.

If the stain persists after washing, repeat the previous steps before tossing in the dryer, as drying will set the stain.
