A strip of mustard might look good on a hot dog, but mustard stains on your clothes are not so attractive. Try these tips on how to remove mustard stains with a little help from Tide, and enjoy that hot dog worry free.
Remove Excess:
Blot the fresh stain with a paper towel. On dried mustard stains, scrape with a fork. Turn the garment inside out and rinse with cold water.

Pre-treat:
Pre-treat the mustard stain with Tide Ultra Stain Release Liquid by pouring directly onto the stain. Rub the fabric together gently or use a soft-bristled toothbrush to work the detergent into the fabric. Let the detergent sit for 5 minutes before rinsing the garment again.

Dose:
Use the cap to ensure you use the right amount of detergent, and pour it into the detergent dispenser if you have an HE machine, or directly into the drum before loading the clothes if you have a non-HE machine.

Wash:
Wash on the usual cycle, on the hottest wash temperature indicated. Always check the instructions on the garment’s care labels.

Unload:
When the cycle is complete, unload the garments immediately.
