New towels ruined and a few clothes items as well
I’ve been using Tide powder for about 7 months now. This last box I purchased with acti lift must have been very potent that it left bleach spots all over my new towels and on a few clothes items.

This certainly isn't the experience we'd like a loyal Tide fan like you to have, since our products are designed to provide your items with a superior clean. We can assure that our products shouldn't cause any bleaching if the items were washed according to the care instructions, and the instructions on the package were followed. As well, no detergents on the market can completely remove color, so this color loss was most likely caused by bleach. If you used bleach in a previous load, some may have remained in the washer. Even if you don't use bleach, other products in your home contain bleaching agents, such as certain toothpastes, acne treatments, and hair dyes. Your satisfaction means everything to us, so we'd be happy to look into this further for you and see how we can best help! When you have a moment, please give us a call at (800) 879-8433.

Nothing is better than Tide Powder
I have been washing my family's clothes for twenty-five (25) years. I have tried almost every premium laundry detergent. While others are good, Tide Powder is the best cleaner and leaves a fresh fragrance. P & G cannot improve on perfection.

Nothing like Tide
Just started using the powder again after like 20 years. The scent seems to be the true original scent. It does a great job cleaning. Tide is the best.

Powder detergent beats liquid, hands down.
In my experience, tide powder is the best. The only use I have for the liquid, is to pretreat oily spots. So, pods are out. I only wish there were single usage packaging. Husband and grandkids, you know...I DO, repackage my powder into big ziplock bags, which I then place in the original carton. Less lumpy that way. AND, I measure out exactly how much is meant by the lines in the stupid scoops. (It differs by The “type” of tide... sigh). I then use a two tablespoon scoop to measure out the correct amount for my loads. OTHERWISE, I use too much, and it doesn’t rinse out properly.Even with all of that finagling, Tide powder is still (hands down) the best at cleaning my laundry!

The powder residue left on shirts
I am a fan of Tide but I purchase large boxes in bulk and this powder left residues on our clothes. I was very disappointed and I hope the other products do not.

We're very sorry you had that experience with our Tide Original Powder. This is not something we expect to happen, but we have some tips that should restore your clothing to excellent condition. Rinse the stained fabric under warm water immediately.Soak the garments overnight in water.Re-wash the affected garment again in your washing machine with NO laundry detergent. Wash at the highest temperature permitted by the care label. Always follow care label instructions for suggested water temperature. To keep this from happening, make sure you don't over dose the laundry detergent or overload the washer. If you have any questions, give us a call at (800) 879-8433. We're here to help.
