Whether it’s vanilla, strawberry, rum and raisin or chocolate fudge brownie with extra sprinkles, ice cream always finds its way onto your t-shirt. Luckily, with Tide and these helpful tips on how to get rid of ice cream stains, you can enjoy ice cream guilt free.
Remove Excess:
Brush the excess stain off the surface of the fabric. Rinse in cold water to dilute the stain.

Pour:
Pour Tide Ultra Stain Release Liquid directly onto the ice cream stain, and make sure you completely cover it. Pour from either the bottle or the cap.

Pre-treat:
Use Tide Ultra Stain Release Liquid Zap! Cap to pre-treat the stain. The flexible fins of the cap help spread the laundry detergent over the surface of the stain and into the garment’s fibers.

Dose:
You can also use the Zap! Cap to ensure you use the right amount of detergent. Just fill it with the correct dose of Tide laundry detergent, and pour it into the detergent dispenser if you have an HE machine, or directly into the drum before loading the clothes if you have a non-HE machine.

Load:
Without rinsing off the detergent, place the garment into the washer with other items. Leaving the detergent on the stain will give your wash that extra boost of cleaning power.

Wash:
Wash on the usual cycle, on the hottest wash temperature indicated. Always check the instructions on the garment’s laundry symbols.

Unload:
When the cycle is complete, unload the garments immediately.

If the stain persists after washing, repeat the previous steps before tossing in the dryer, as drying will set the stain.
